You may elect to bring any device which meets the Device Specification. However, selecting a technology device is not simple, and the Specification is particular. Our recommended devices are designed to simplify your choices and purchasing processes.

Devices are subject to availability. Our partner, JB Hi-Fi Education, has the nation's largest distribution network, but stock is not always unlimited.

The ThinkPad Yoga L13 is the school’s premier device for Bring Your Own Device. Featuring a full HD touch screen and a Yoga hinge that rotates 360 degrees, the Yoga’s full-sized attached keyboard provides a more conventional experiences compared to the Suface Pro while maintaining the Surface’s utility. The device is adaptable to any situation a device may be used at school.

The conventional form-factor of the Surface Laptop is excellent for students with strong typing and content creation focus. It eschews fancy bells and whistles to concentrate on being the best laptop. Thin and light to fit well in a school bag. Battery life is excellent. A safe choice for a conventional laptop meeting the requirements of the BYOD program.

The MacBook Air is a comparable choice to the Lenovo ThinkPad and Microsoft Surface Laptop. It’s a popular and capable choice in the school’s BYOD program with good all-round performance, and coupled with Apple’s excellent build quality. This is the product choice for for users preferring the Apple platform.

Note: this model MacBook can no longer run Windows. This may limit its use for CAD drawing. Students may need to make alternative arrangements such as using school computer labs for some tasks in some elective subjects.
