Located on stunning water frontage in Sydney’s inner west, The Outterside Centre has 180 degree water views and glimpses of the Harbour Bridge. The Outterside Centre is set to become one of the most sought after waterfront venue locations in Sydney.  

The venue has been newly refurbished and offers a diverse range of facilities which are ideal for conferences, cocktail parties, elegant dinners and other events.  The facility includes 2 rooms with spectacular water views as well as outdoor and balcony areas.  The first-class rowing facility makes it ideal for corporate team building activities.

Access & Parking
Located at 5 Teviot Avenue, Abbotsford (at the end of Great North Road), The Outterside Centre has its own private jetty so guests can arrive by water taxi. Alternatively, the Centre is a mere 15 minutes by Rivercat from the city with the Rivercat stop literally on the doorstep. Parking is limited to the surrounding streets with a few spaces available on-site (subject to approval from the Venues Manager).

Catering
The Outterside Centre has several Gold Licence caterers all of which offer tempting food and beverage packages for you to choose from. Whether it be a dinner, a barbecue by the water or cocktails and canapés on the balcony, they will tailor menus to suit all tastes and budgets. Please contact the Venues Manager for information.

Corporate Team Building
The Outterside Centre is the home of Sydney Boys High School’s rowing program and, as such, offers its first-class rowing facility for an exhilarating corporate team building day.  All programs are run by an experienced, qualified facilitator who will develop a program, based on the ultimate team sport – rowing, to suit your company’s needs.  Specialised rowing coaches are also available to guide your team, irrespective of their experience to ensure the day is a success for everyone.

Rowing for Beginners Course
Beginners "learn to row" courses are held at The Outterside Centre.  Whether you are a complete novice or have some previous experience, you will enjoy this low impact, low injury, aerobic sport as well the magic moments of early mornings on the water.  The classes combine fun, fitness and social interaction with the professional skills, terminology and safety requirements that are expected in a competitive rowing environment.

Courses are held on Sunday mornings from 7.00am to 9.00am and there are 6 classes in each program.  The cost is $299.00 incl. GST.  Participants must be over 16 years and must be able to swim 50 metres and tread water as a safety requirement.

Accommodation
Sleeping 50 in dormitory style accommodation, with male and female amenities and a spacious, stainless steel, fully functional kitchen, The Outterside Centre is the ideal accommodation venue for sporting or school groups.  The facility boasts a relaxed dining area downstairs as well as a refurbished function room, ideal for a formal dinner or lecture, upstairs.  A large outdoor area with a BBQ is suitable for alfresco dining.  With the Rivercat stop on the doorstop, The Outterside Centre is conveniently located to the city as well as the rest of Sydney.
